If you are looking for some fun things to do in Dallas, read this Dallas Observer article about this fascinating collection of statues.
In Dallas, we LOVE our State Fair and our FRIED FOODS! This year’s fair runs through October 19 and offers everything from Live Music to Petting Zoos, the Auto Show, Ostrich Races, and of course the fabulous food court. The fried food booths along the boardwalk are always packed with people looking for the latest offerings.
On Thrillist.com, David Maez writes about his trip to Dallas and his “little tasting journey through the temple of fried goodness that is the Texas State Fair.” You can see his photos and read his comments on these fun foods:
Fried Chicken in a Waffle, Fried Peaches and Cream, Fried Lemonade, Fried Grilled Cheese, Fried Pumpkin Pie, Fried Meatloaf, and more.
Have you been to the State Fair in Dallas yet? Challenge yourself to take some time off to see the fair this year. You will be glad you did.
